Because we have spent most of our lives in the southwest Louisiana community, and we work and live here every day, we are committed to making it a better place to live and work. Ours is a beautiful and unique geography and culture, and we are proud to be a part of it.
Children have always been our special interest, and we are involved in their lives in many ways. We frequently conduct lab tours for children's groups, and contribute to the enrichment of their lives in other areas as well.
We are proud to be a Grand Sponsor of the Children's Miracle Network. This worthy charity raises money locally that is kept in the southwest Louisiana area to be used to help children with medical needs and other worthwhile programs to educate and improve the quality of their lives. We have been involved with CMN since 1991.
It is a privilege to a Partner in Education with St John Elementary school, where we host their year end luncheon for Most Improved Students in each classroom. . This program is not designed to recognize the best students, as there are already numerous programs and rewards for them. Instead, this program recognizes the hard work and commitment made by those students who must work very hard to improve their grades.
PhotoTek is a proud sponsor of the Ethel Precht Breast Cancer Walk each year, which raises money that stays in the local community to help breast cancer patients. We have all been touched by cancer in one way or another – If not ourselves, a loved one or a friend.
It is our hope that at the end of each day, we have contributed something meaningful to our community, even if only in a small way.
